Mature oil fields need reliable, high performance processing equipment to sustain production.

No oilfield is without separation facilities. It is a critical step in all oilfield production operations. Currently, the production of many tail-end fields is severely limited by processing capacity.

The demand for oilfield separation capacity will further accelerate. In 2020, 80% of oil production will be from tail-end fields. Water production will increase 5-10 fold. 

Industry will need more reliable, more compact and highly efficient technology to handle decreasing well pressures, increasing production of water, sand and LP gas (without flaring). At present, few technology vendors are active in this area.
