Dr ir Rombout Swanborn, Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Swanborn holds a M.SC. degree in Mining Engineering from Delft University of Technology, and a Ph.D. degree in Process Engineering (1988) of the same university. During his PhD study, financed by Shell, he developed compact separation equipment for application on offshore oil production platforms. This equipment formed the basis for ‘CDS Engineering’ the company he founded in 1995 and that rapidly became market leader in its field.

The business model with which he operated the above company ensured that customers had access to innovative and well proven equipment that would add value to the customers business immediately after commissioning. After his retirement from CDS Engineering, Rombout Swanborn with Toine Hendriks and Ewout Barents founded ProLabNL in 2009.

Per-Reidar Larnholm, Director of Production

Mr. Larnholm holds a M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering with focus on fluid mechanics and multiphase flow. He graduated from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim and has 15 years of experience in the field of oil and gas separation.

In 1994 mr. Larnholm joined Kvaerner Process Systems, now Aker Solutions, before joining CDS Engineering and CDS Norge in 1998. During his time in Kvaerner and CDS he was involved in and responsible for the oil and gas separation equipment delivered. In 2007 he joined FMC Kongsberg Subsea where he used his experience in the field of subsea separation.

Mr. Larnholm was involved in both the StatoilHydro Tordis Subsea Separator project and the Total Pazflor Subsea project.Early 2009 he joined Renaissance Oil & Gas as the Director of Production.

Toine Hendriks, Director of Process Technology

Mr. Hendriks holds a M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, section Process Technology from Eindhoven University of Technology. His graduation project, design of an oil-water separator for Shell in the Netherlands, was awarded the "Best Mechanical Engineering Graduation Project of Year 2000"-price by the Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI). Mr. Hendriks joined CDS Engineering in the Netherlands in 2001, where as a senior process engineer he executed multiple major research & development programs, prepared process designs and using his extensive knowledge of computational fluid dynamics to the benefit of projects and clients, including StatoilHydro and Total.

In particular under Mr. Hendriks' responsibility, the StatoilHydro Tordis Subsea Separator project received the prestigious Eureka Lillehammer award in 2007 and this newly developed separator has shown so far a good separation performance.

In 2007, Mr. Hendriks started his own consultancy company Star Flow Engineering and joined early in 2009 Renaissance Oil & Gas as the Director of Process Technology.
